| Credit-by-Exam
incorporates several types of programs: the CLEP® (College-Level
Examination Program), the APP (Advanced Placement Program), EKU's
Departmental tests, and other nationally recognized credit-by-exam
testing programs. These testing programs are designed to help students
demonstrate competence attained through educational experience other
than university instruction. Eastern Kentucky University students
may attempt to earn academic credit-by-examination in certain undergraduate
courses. University, college, and academic program restrictions
and conditions apply to credit-by-exam participants. AP and CLEP®
exam results are provided by the College Board Testing Service.
Eastern Kentucky University students may phone
the Office of Academic Testing at 859-622-1281 for more information
about the Credit by Exam program. Information about the policies
and procedures as well as a list of the courses for which this program
applies are available through the Academic Testing office, or for
additional information, please see eligibility
criteria, procedures, and scoring
and reporting procedures.
